Smith & Wesson Pre Model # 17 K22 Masterpiece Double Action Revolver

This is one beautiful vintage factory original Smith & Wesson Pre Model # 17 K-22 Masterpiece Double Action Revolver or what some avid Smith & Wesson collectors refer to as a vintage "5 Screw K-22". This minty revolver bearing serial number K 160xxx was manufactured in 1952, and comes complete in its Gold with Blue lettering two piece lift off top picture frame box, so called because it shows a image of the revolver on the lid of the box as pictured below. The revolver has a 6 inch narrow ribbed barrel chambered for the .22 caliber long rifle cartridges, and the fluted cylinder chambers six rounds. This fine revolver retains all of its original brush blued finish throughout. This style of blueing was only found on the revolvers manufactured between 1946 & 1955 when Smith & Wesson started there transition to a new more polished blue finish. The revolver shows extremely light signs of use with just a hint of muzzle wear, and barely has a cylinder line. It has an excellent bore, with bright cylinder chambers, and functions perfectly. The case colors on the Hammer & Trigger are vibrant, with the screw heads including those on the rear sight, all excellent and unturned since they left the factory. This fine vintage S&W wears “ALL” correctly numbered metal parts, as well as the grips and box! It’s all matching!!!  This is not only a gorgeous looking revolver, but a great example of the ever popular 5 screw K22 Masterpiece. If you collect Smith & Wesson revolvers this is one you would certainly like to have for your collection, because of its magnificent condition, and still in the original box. The factory original S&W medalion diamond style checkered walnut magna grips are just as nice as the gun, and are serial numbered to it. The checkering has nice sharp points, with no chips, cracks, or damage. The S&W factory original Gold Picture Frame two piece slip top box is also in excellant condition, with no rips, tears, or broken corners, a very nice box indeed! This is one of the world’s most popular .22 caliber revolvers. Everyone who enjoys shooting revolvers should own just one K-22.

Smith & Wesson Pre Model 17 K22 Masterpiece 1955 Transition Revolver

Manufactured in 1955 and chambered for the .22 cal. Long Rifle cartridge

We have for sale a beautiful Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece 5 screw transition model revolver complete with the original box. This great revolver serial number K 253XXX Manufactured in 1955. Ladies & gentleman offered here is an S&W you just don’t find every day. It is a 5 screw K-22 Transition Model with factory high luster blue finish. This fine revolver retains nearly all of its original high luster blued finish throughout. Gun shows very light signs of use with just a bit of muzzle wear, and barely has a cylinder line. It has an excellent bore, and functions just like a new revolver. The case colors on the Hammer & Trigger are vibrant, with the screw heads including those on the rear sight, are all excellent, and unturned since they left the factory. This variation was only seen for a few months of the entire production of the K-22 masterpiece series. In 1955 Smith & Wesson changed from the 5 screw frames to the 4 screw, and also went from the dull brushed blued finish to the high luster blue. At this same time Smith & Wesson discontinued the practice of serializing all of the parts like the barrel, cylinder, and extractor star. The revolver you are looking at is a very early transition model that utilized parts and practices found on the earlier 5 screw guns. This fine vintage S&W wears “ALL” correctly numbered metal parts, as well as the grips and box! It’s all matching!!! It  has the early 5 screw frame, but has the later high luster blue giving it the same appearance as the Pre 29 44 Magnum and Pre 27 357 Magnum models. Not only a gorgeous looking revolver, but a rare variation of the ever popular 5 screw K22 Masterpiece. If you collect Smith & Wesson revolvers this is one you will certainly want to have for your collection, because you just don’t run across many let alone one in this condition still in the original box. It wears a 6” tapered rib barrel, and is chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridges. The S&W factory original diamond checkered walnut magna grips are just as nice as the gun, and are serial numbered to the gun.  The checkering has sharp points, with no chips, cracks, or damage. The S&W factory original charcoal grey two piece box is also a special box that was only seen for a very short period of time, and was the first K-22 box style to follow the Gold boxes and just prior to the blue boxes. Again this box variation was only seen for a very short time just like the guns. Many K frame collectors refer to it as the grey transition box. The box is in great condition with no rips, tears, or broken corners, a very nice box indeed!  If you decide to purchase this Rare variation Smith & Wesson, you will recieve a very nice package, and all original! This is one of the world’s most popular .22 caliber revolvers. Everyone who enjoys shooting revolvers should own just one K-22. Don’t miss this great opportunity to add this great example to your collection. You’ll find it difficult to replace! Additional photos are available at your request.

Smith & Wesson Model # 16-3 "K32 Masterpiece"

Double Action Revolver

Chambered for the .32 S&W Long cartridges, it was manufactured in 1973 the last year of production

For the majority of Collectors this is truely a once in a lifetime opportunity!

The postwar model 16-3  K32 Masterpiece Series of Revolvers were the last true K32's built  before the model was completely discontinued from the production line in 1973. This series is one of the Rarest Smith & Wesson K Frame revolvers to find, and over our 40 plus years in the gun business as both collectors, and dealers of fine Smith & Wesson revolvers this is one of the rarest models we have encountered, and is going to make some Smith & wesson collector very happy when he finds it. The over-all condition of this beautiful revolver is going to be nearly impossible to improove on, and the original box with its factory original unaltered end label matching the revolvers specifics exactly is also very clean. The box has some very light shelf rubs, and a scratch on the lid that appears to be from draging another gun box with metal corners at one time across it other wise it is very clean. The box, labels, and revolver are well photographed, if you have questions or need more photo's please ask! This particular example is in outstanding all original condition showing, but there are some extremely light handling marks just from being opened and closed over the years mostly from cleaning. There appears to be no signs of actual use, the original owner claimed it had never been fired since it left the factory. Inspecting the gun we see no reason to believe otherwise. The gun shows virtually no wear from firing, there are no marks on the recoil shield, cylinder face, or forcing cone areas. There is just the slightest hint of a drag line on the cylinder!  There is No wear or scratches to the extractor rod, however there are a couple of superficial or extremely light box rubs, but you really have to look close. It has wonderful vibrant case colors on the hammer & trigger. The bore, cylinder chambers and over-all function of the revolver are as new.  This beautiful revolver is about as close to an as new gun as we believe you will ever find. There was only about 3600 post war K-32’s produced from 1946 thru 1973 when they were dropped from the catalog. The majority having been produced in the earliest 5 screw guns Manufactured thru 1955. As production went on thru the 4 screw guns into the three screw era ending in 1973 the production numbers diminished quickly as the guns just didn’t seem to sell; therefore creating a very scarce collectable in today’s market. The majority of the last guns produced were actually Model 14-3 K-38 Masterpiece frames that were re-stamped 16-3 then fitted with left over K-32 barrels and cylinders to use up remaining parts on hand. This Revolver is All Factory Original, and has a beautiful pair of S&W Walnut Magna style grips that are also in as new condition, and matching numbered to the gun.

Smith & Wesson Pre Model # 10 38 Military & Police Revolver "S" Prefix

This is a Very Early Post War Vintage Revolver Manufactured in 1945

These Early Post World War II Military & Police Models had there own Serial # Range Designated with the S Prefix with no model stampings. All the revolvers in this range were made utilizing Pre War parts that were left over after the war ended. The very early revolvers were made from almost all pre war parts, but as they got further along in the production and the pre war inventory was being depleated, they went to using more & more of the new post war style parts, and in some instances this is very obvious looking at the different revolvers appearances. This particular revolver is a Rare, and very difficult revolver to find with a 2" barrel and nickel finish. This is one of those seldom seen revolvers most serious S&W K Frame Collectors may never have the opportunity to get for there collections especialy in this condition.

"Rare" Smith & Wesson Model # 29 44 Magnum with a 5" Barrel

Manufactured in May Of 1958 with a Factory Letter from Smith & Wesson Factory Historian Mr. Roy Jinks

This is a Rare & seldom seen Smith & Wesson N Frame Revolver with the 5" barrel, and in the Four Screw "N" Frame configuration. It is known that approximatly 500 of these 5" revolvers were manufactured, but to find one in this condition is ultra rare. The gun shows very light muzzle wear, some light handling marks, light marks to the cylinder from cleaning over the years as seen in the photos, and some light burning to the front of the cylinder otherwise it is a very clean revolver over-all.  We will let the photo's speak for themselves, the bore and function are fine.
